The basic difference between “moving flame” and “non-moving flame” LED candles is at the flame. And the hidden difference lies in the working time.

The difference of Flameless LED candles at the wick shape
The “moving flame” candles have an actual candle flame-like element that physically moves from side-to-side. “Non-moving flame” flameless LED candles do not have anything that physically moves, but rather they have one or more LEDs that vary in brightness in an attempt to simulate the action of a real candle flame. Since real candle flames physically move and vary in brightness, “moving flame” flameless LED candles produce the most realistic effect.

The Difference of Flameless Candles on Working Time
Another big difference is the working time. Moving wick LED candles will consume more electricity. For example, for the LED candles powered by AA batteriy, the ones in moving wick may work for about 50 hours, while the ones with non-moving flame can work for over 100 hours.

So if you care more about the working time, like using for wedding, party, gala or other events decoration, the non-moving flame LED candle is a perfect option!
Moreover, for all these electronic candles, you could choose the flicker candles with remote control function. So you could control these decorative flameless candles easily with the remote control.
